Approximately 70% of deaths can be attributed to this cause.When should I consult a cardiologist?If someone has symptoms suggestive of a heart condition, it is recommended to consult a cardiologist. Symptoms that may indicate heart problems include:

• Any chest pain
• Shortness of breath
• Sensation of rapid heartbeats (regular or irregular)
• Loss of consciousness of any kind (fainting)
• Leg pain that occurs during walking
• Cold extremities
• Dizziness
• High blood pressure
• Heart valve conditions

It is also essential to request a cardiology evaluation in the following cases:

• If there is a family history of cardiovascular diseases
• In the case of diabetes, sometimes without symptoms that indicate heart problems.

• You can request expertise in interventional cardiology in the following cases:
  • Investigation of coronary artery diseases – expertise related to coronary angiography, intravascular imaging, and stent implantation
  • Electrophysiological expertise in case of arrhythmia
  • Expertise related to implantable devices (pacemaker, defibrillator, resynchronization)
• Expertise in non-invasive imaging (coronary CT angiography, cardiac magnetic resonance)
• Holter monitoring (24-hour ECG)
• Follow-up
